AXIS Pioneer Square is the go-to wedding spot in the city to seal the deal. Their venue is truly the best of both worlds: a mix of traditional and modern. It has a lot of character with modern pieces mixed in. Pioneer Square is rich in history and absolutely charming itself. For couples looking for the perfect spot in the city to seal the deal and celebrate with their loved ones, I cannot imagine a better spot than AXIS Pioneer Square. Past and current clients love AXIS Pioneer Square for having flexibility with the space with a blank slate as far as decor goes. The exposed brick adds a cozy, comforting feel to the atmosphere.

Their Main space is 6,000 sq feet and holds weddings up to 180 people for ceremony and reception. For art lovers and smaller gatherings, they also have the “Corner Gallery”: an art gallery that’s 4,000 sq feet and holds up to 100 people for ceremony and reception! Yes, there is art dispersed throughout the whole space. You can keep the artwork up or take it down, and that decision is completely up to you! The third option is that you can combine both spaces for a possible 250 guest wedding and reception!

When it comes to wedding styles, everything is on the table! Whatever your wedding day looks like, AXIS Pioneer Square is eager to serve you. Looking for a smaller gathering? You got it. Want your ceremony or reception in the nearby alley way? They can get you a permit and make that happen. You want to have a huge wedding and celebration? Absolutely!

Favorite Venue Feature: Architecture

All 10,000 square feet of their venue is versatile for couples to bring their vision alive. With exposed brick, high ceilings, and large arch ways, you’re bound to impress your guests with the beautiful architecture. You can move walls to shape it to make it more intimate and to put your own spin on the space. Their venue is truly the best of both worlds: a mix of traditional and modern. It has a lot of character with modern pieces mixed in.

Rich Location History

Built in 1890 after the Great Seattle Fire, the Globe Building has seen the rise of Seattle from ashes. This area of Seattle has a rich history, and this building is such a loved and cherished space that’s been used for so many different reasons. To honor the building’s name, AXIS Pioneer Square has a Glob Wall (yes, a wall of globes!), which couples can replace with something else if they’d like. They also have a Book Bar as a tribute to Elliot Bay Book Company.

All-inclusive & LGBTQ+ Friendly!

When asking the venue managers who their ideal couples are, they made it very clear that they welcome anyone and everyone as they are! AXIS Pioneer Square is very LGBTQ+ friendly and accepting of all people, which I love about them! From the moment you reach out to them, you will feel loved and accepted, and they will serve you SO well. They are all-inclusive without even batting an eye. That’s one of the reasons I highly recommend this wedding venue to my couples looking for a spectacular wedding experience in the city.

Photo Opportunities

As a photographer, this location gives you SO many great photo opportunities. The location is spectacular. If you love the city, you couldn’t find a better venue. AXIS Pioneer Square is right downtown in a historic, beautiful space of Seattle with Occidental right nearby. There aren’t any other venues like this. This location offers many first-look photos opportunities, bars, hotels, and restaurants. It’s truly a photographer’s playground!

If you want some epic photos on a rooftop, that’s even an option too!

Vendor Recommendations

AXIS Pioneer Square offer their couples with vendor recommendations that they love and trust as well. They provide catering as a requirement, and they allow you to bring your favorite vendors with you. They will provide recommendations for vendors.
